Collection: Alebrijes

According to legend, Alebrijes are born for the first time in Mexico City. They appear during a deep sleep into their creator's mind; beautiful animals transform themselves by fusing their shapes, colors and species so fantastic creatures full of color and magic are coming alive. Today these creatures are brought from a fantasy world thanks to the skilled hands of each artist who let themselves be guided by their imagination when carving the copal wood and then choose a combination of vibrant colors to dress each piece with hundreds of brush strokes. Each stroke that surrounds the body of an alebrije has a different meaning that dresses it in light, makes it magical and turns it into a unique masterpiece.
