Según cuenta la leyenda, los Alebrijes nacen por primera vez en la Ciudad de México, se le aparecen durante un sueño profundo a su creador; hermosos animales se transforman fusionando sus formas, colores y especies para dar paso a fantásticas criaturas llenas de color y magia. Hoy día estas criaturas son traídas del mundo de la fantasía gracias a la destreza de las manos del artista quien se deja guiar por su imaginación al tallar la madera del copal y elegir posteriormente una combinación de colores vibrantes para vestir cada obra con cientos de pinceladas. Cada trazo que rodea el cuerpo de un alebrije tiene un significado diferente que lo viste de luz, lo vuelve mágico y lo convierte en una pieza única.

According to legend, Alebrijes are born for the first time in Mexico City. They appear during a deep sleep into their creator's mind; beautiful animals transform themselves by fusing their shapes, colors and species so fantastic creatures full of color and magic are coming alive. Today these creatures are brought from a fantasy world thanks to the skilled hands of each artist who let themselves be guided by their imagination when carving the copal wood and then choose a combination of vibrant colors to dress each piece with hundreds of brush strokes. Each stroke that surrounds the body of an alebrije has a different meaning that dresses it in light, makes it magical and turns it into a unique masterpiece.
